The Royals have won back-to-back games. Kansas City defeated the Washington Nationals 8-5 at Kauffman Stadium. Vinnie Pasquantino hit his 21st homer of the season on a three-run shot in the third inning and finished the game with five RBIs. Jonathan India also homered while starting pitcher Michael Wacha earned his seventh win of the year. Lucas Erceg recorded his second save as the Royals improved to 60-and-60.
They host the Nationals again this afternoon.
