WEST PLAINS, Mo. – Saturday’s Region 16 game between the Missouri State University-West Plains (MSU-WP) Grizzly Basketball team and Moberly Area Community College has been postponed.
Grizzly Athletic Director Crockett Oaks said the postponement is due to COVID-19.
The teams will instead face off at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 31, in Joe Paul Evans Arena at the West Plains Civic Center.
Three other events planned for halftime of Saturday’s game also have been postponed. They include:
• the Grizzly Athletics Hall of Fame induction ceremony for Grizzly Volleyball standout Mafo Joelle;
• the Grizzly Track Award presentation to longtime MSU-WP and Grizzly Athletics supporter Jerry Hall;
• the diaper drive for the Diaper Resource Center in West Plains.
University officials said they are working to reschedule these events. A date for each one will be announced later.
