COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri softball head coach Larissa Anderson and her staff announced Tuesday the signing of transfer outfielder Emma Jackson.
Jackson, a Chincoteague, Virginia, native, heads to Mizzou for her senior season after earning back-to-back All-American Athletic Conference (AAC) honors and 2024 NFCA Mideast All-Region First Team laurels over two seasons at East Carolina. She also was named to the 2025 AAC All-Tournament Team.
Jackson slashed a career-best .397/.751/.460 to lead the Pirates in 2024 to go with a team-high 75 hits, 24 doubles and 50 RBI. Her 24 doubles rank second all-time in ECU single-season history.
Jackson recorded three or more hits nine times over her sophomore campaign in 2024 including a 4-for-4 performance versus Youngstown State (March 2, 2024).
In her final season in Greenville, North Carolina, Jackson posted a slash line of .326/.730/.453 at the plate with 58 hits, 54 RBI and 21 home runs in 2025. Her career-best 21 homers set a new ECU single-season program record.
Jackson belted an AAC single-game record three home runs in the Pirates’ 15-7 win over Charlotte on March 28, 2025. She finished with a career-best four hits and five RBI in the victory.
Over two seasons in the ECU Purple and Gold, Jackson batted .362 (.741 slugging, .456 on-base percentage) over 113 starts (113 games) with 105 runs, 133 hits, 33 doubles, 34 home runs and 104 RBI.
Jackson commenced her collegiate campaign at Virginia Tech in 2023, where she appeared in 27 games with 14 starts. Primarily serving as the Hokies’ designated player, she tallied 12 hits (.267/.556/.327) with 14 runs to go with four homers and 10 RBI as Virginia Tech advanced to the 2023 NCAA Athens Regional Final.
Jackson is Mizzou’s first transfer addition this summer ahead of the 2026 season.
