The Royals were walked off and swept by the Tigers on the road. Kansas City lost to Detroit 10-9 in the finale of a three-game series at Comerica Park. Salvador Perez went 2-for-4 with a homer and four RBIs. Vinnie Pasquantino also homered.
Detroit scored three times in the 9th inning. Dillon Dingler and Riley Greene drove in a pair of runs and Colt Keith drove home the winning run with a single as Lucas Erceg came out of the bullpen and was charged with his first loss and blown save. The Royals are now 7-12. They visit the New York Yankees tonight.
