Twins 5, Royals 1

The Royals failed to complete a three-game sweep of the Twins. Kansas City lost to Minnesota 5-1 in the series finale at Kauffman Stadium. Vinnie Pasquantino drove in the team’s lone run on a sacrifice fly in the eighth inning. Starting pitcher Cole Ragans was charged with his second loss after allowing one unearned run through six frames.

Steven Cruz, the 6’7 reliever, gave up three runs in the ninth inning.
