COLUMBIA, Mo. – On Wednesday, the Southeastern Conference announced its 2021 Community Service Team which included University of Missouri running back Tyler Badie.
Badie earned his bachelor’s degree in sport management, in spring 2021, with a GPA of 3.83. He’s in his first semester as a graduate student, pursuing a master’s in athletic administration and positive coaching.
His activities include Mizzou Impact, Freshmen Move-In and the Susan G. Komen Race – totaling nearly 150 hours of community service during his time as a Tiger. He’s a two-time CoSIDA Academic All-District selection and advanced to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot. Badie was a 2021 AFCA Good Works Team, Wuerffel Trophy and William V. Campbell Trophy nominee.
A Doak Walker Award finalist, Badie leads the SEC in rushing attempts, yards, touchdowns and yards per game. At Arkansas last week, he set a new MU single-season school record for rushing with 1,604 yards.
The SEC names a Community Service Team for each of its 21-league sponsored sports, looking to highlight a student-athlete from each school who gives back to his community through superior service efforts.
