The West Plains Zizzer Boys Basketball team played the second game of the night on Monday, December 22nd, 2025 as both Zizzer Boys and Girls traveled to Mountain Home for a border war. West Plains Boys come into the game 1-2 on the season while the Mountain Home Boys team with 8-6.
1st Quarter: Mountain Home Bombers get the start with a three pointer by guard, Baylor Tate. West Plains Zizzers will play offense as shot is up and good by Jared Kraft.
Bombers take it back trying for another shot by Joe Haney. Rebound and a good jumper by Caleb Cobb for the West Plains Zizzers.
Baylor Tate takes the next shot for the Bombers but fouled. West Plains trails by one, 6-5 with under four minutes in the First Quarter.
Kraft to Cobb with another inbound pass, for two more. Rhett Gilbert takes the ball back for the Bombers who shoots and scores as ballgame holds by two points, 10-8 Bomber lead.
Gilbert on the next rebound for Mountain Home, two more. West Plains in crucial need to guard him as ball goes back to the Zizzers. Second field goal by Jared Kraft, now a 16-11 game.
Shot up and good for Rhett Gilbert at the Horn as Mountain Home Bombers lead 16-14 after one.
2nd Quarter: West Plains still trying to guard Rhett Gilbert. Jared Kraft gets one shot off but not before Gilbert gets a three and two at the line as they have now outscored the Zizzers 9-2, 23-18 with under Six minutes to go in the half.
Bombers go on to keep the lead up by ten as West Plains cannot answer for Bomber Guard Rhett Gilbert.
HALFTIME- Mountain Home Bombers: 37/ West Plains Zizzers: 27
Second Half: Cobb and Kraft continue to score on the few fouls committed by the Bombers, mainly at the foul line.
However, by this point; West Plains defensively continue to be blindsided by guard Rhett Gilbert who finishes in the ballgame with 40 points. Besides Gilbert, #15, Kayden Sabo & #11 Max Bryant back up the main scoring in the second half.
