West Plains Zizzers Varsity took the lead late and defeated Lebanon Varsity Yellowjackets 9-3 on Tuesday at home. JV got the W 12-11!
In the bottom of the fourth inning, WP tied things up at two when Riley Summers’s sac fly scored one run for the Zizzers. WP tallied four runs in the sixth inning. Peyton Cooper, Hunter Roberts, Rylan Kenslow, and Nelson Hoover each had RBIs in the frame. Cooper went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead West Plains Zizzers Varsity in hits.
Landon Montgomery earned the win for the Zizzers. The varsity freshman allowed eight hits and three runs over six innings, striking out four and walking one. JR Free (varsity freshman) threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
The Zizzers remain undefeated at home going 7-0 against opponents at our Zizzer Baseball Stadium. We have the best crowd cheering us on. Thank you, West Plains!!!
