CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – University of Missouri women’s basketball (10-2) is set to take on Illinois (5-6, 0-1 Big Ten) on Wednesday at noon in the final non-conference contest of the year. The game will stream live on Big Ten Network plus.
The Tigers are coming off a Monday night victory over Southern by a score of 73-54. Hayley Frank led the way for Mizzou with 21 points and six rebounds. Aijha Blackwell added her eighth double double of the year with 15 points and 12 rebounds.
Blackwell is in the top five nationally in rebounds, defensive rebounds, and double doubles. She is the only player in the nation to average over 10 defensive rebounds per game.
Mizzou started the year with eight-consecutive victories, marking the program’s best start since the 2015-16 season. The Tigers finished the home non-conference slate with a perfect 7-0 record. Mizzou has not had a perfect non-conference home record since the 2017-18 season.
The Tigers will face off with top-ranked South Carolina on December 30th at home to kick off conference play.
