On Saturday, the Zizzer swim team traveled to Monett to race against eight area competitors at the 2021 Monett Invitational swim meet. The team has 11 competitors, including Dawson Fiorino, Avery Miller, Brock Larsen, Matthew Mayberry, Elias Curtis, Tim Haaso, Isaac Kammerer, Jake Bramwell, James Allchin, Peyton Wake, and Ethan Squires.
200 Medley Relay team – Silver medal and a new season best time of 1:50.00.
200-yard individual medley-Miller earned the silver medal (2:13.47), Kammerer earned Bronze (2:13.73), and Tim Haaso finished in 7th place.
50-yard freestyle event – Bramwell first-place finish (23.05)
100-yard butterfly – Curtis earned silver (58.17) and Fiorino earned Bronze (1:02.34) i
500-yard freestyle -Isaac Kammerer first-place finish (5:09.15)
200 Freestyle Relay – bronze medal with a time of 1:44.66.
100-yard backstroke event. Miller earned first, earning gold (1:00.81), Bramwell taking silver (1:01.08).
In the day’s last event, Zizzers struck gold again with a first-place finish in the 400 Freestyle Relay. Kammerer (52.97), Curtis (53.50), Miller (51.90), and Bramwell (53.24) went a new season-best of 3:31.61, finishing just one-tenth of a second shy of the meet record of 3:31.51.
