Zizzers Dominate on the Road with 5-0 Shutout Victory; JV Adds 1-0 Win

The West Plains Zizzer soccer team turned in a commanding performance Tuesday night, cruising to a 5-0 shutout win on the road. Senior striker Malakai Coy was unstoppable, recording a hat trick to lead the Zizzer offense. Hudson Cox and Reed Cobb each added a goal of their own to round out the scoring.

Cameron Miller was the engine in the midfield, dishing out three assists on the night, while Cox added one helper to his tally.

On the defensive end, goalkeeper Keenan Holloway and the Zizzer back line stood tall, notching their second clean sheet of the season. Their communication and composure under pressure were evident throughout the match, keeping the opposing attack at bay.

The JV squad also came away with a hard-fought win, earning a 1-0 shutout of their own. Eric Rodriguez delivered the game-winner, finishing off a well-placed assist from Caleb Hullinger. Keeper Hunter Lange and the JV defense stayed locked in to preserve the clean sheet.

With just 24 hours to rest and recover, the Zizzers now set their sights on a major home test Thursday night, as they welcome the undefeated Ozark Tigers (4-0) to town. Kickoff on the grass is set for 6:00 p.m., in what promises to be one of the most anticipated matchups of the season in southwest Missouri.
