WPHS Beta Club sets record for members heading to national competition

WEST PLAINS, Mo. — The West Plains High School Beta Club attended the Missouri State Beta Club Convention in Springfield last weekend.

District officials say 20 high school students placed in the top 5 eligible to compete at the National Beta Club convention in Fort Worth, Texas in June 2020, a record number in the club’s history.

A total of 71 WPHS students attended and competed in academic, speech, visual arts, media, and onsite art competitions and competed against nearly 3,000 Beta members from across the state.
