Marie loved being a housewife. She and Calvin lived for many years on their farm in Dixon, Missouri, where they were blessed with many great friends and neighbors. With friends they enjoyed fish fries, bailing hay, cutting firewood, and there were always new projects in the works. She enjoyed cooking and canning her own garden vegetables. Marie loved her rose garden and the beautiful bouquets it would produce. She enjoyed doing charity work in the community with her lady friends. One of her passions and love was crocheting, and she made the most beautiful afghans, and often times gave those as special gifts to those she loved.
Some of Marie’s favorite times spent with Calvin were their winter camping trips to Florida. She also enjoyed boat rides with her nieces and nephews at Lake of the Ozarks and seasonal trips to Gulf Shores with her girlfriends.
Marie shared a very special relationship with her first-born great-grandson, Liam. Spending time with him after school was one of her greatest joys.
Thank you to each and everyone here today, who filled Marie’s life with love, friendship, and so many wonderful memories. We are celebrating her life today knowing she is back in the loving arms of Calvin.
Rest in peace our dear sweet Marie.
