West Plains, Mo. – The West Plains Civic Center is opening at 9 a.m. on Friday, February 4, 2022 as a Warming Center for those needing to get out of the cold. The City of West Plains reminds the community that driving conditions remain EXTREMELY hazardous and that the Street Department crews will continue to work on clearing roadways all day.
The West Plains Police Department and Fire Departments advise all citizens to stay off the roadways again today.
Residential Trash Routes in West Plains for Thursday and Friday will be picked up on Monday, Feb. 7, and Tuesday, Feb. 8, respectively.
All other city buildings (City Hall, West Plains Library, Sports Complex, Welcome Center, and the Transit Bus Service) will remain closed on Friday. Again, please stay off the roadways today if at all possible and call the police department at 256-2244 for any emergencies or to report a power outage.
