Allen graduated in 1969 from Winona High School. He worked as a logger for 30 plus years, then in 2005 he became employed with Shannon County as a road grader until he later retired in 2019. He loved to deer hunt, coon hunt, and listen to his dogs run rabbits. His passions were gigging and those late nights of frying fish on the river bank. He loved a good card game and a mean game of cornhole with family. One of the highlights of his day was spending time at Rockie’s Barber Shop, also known as “the college.” Allen coached many kids’ baseball and softball games and was always willing to help with benefit auctions, cookouts, or whatever was needed of him. Allen had many friends and family that shared his interests and hobbies, including Josh Ray and Jake Lindsey, which have been his sidekicks from a very young age. He left a legacy behind that was impressionable and respectful to all who knew him.
