Rhonda loved visiting Eureka Springs, AR, going to Branson and Alley Springs. She also enjoyed visiting with her daughter and grandchildren and attending their birthday parties as much as she was able to do so. Rhonda did take a few trips with her parents while she still lived at home. Her dream was to do more traveling but her health prevented her from acquiring that dream. She also loved to shop for gifts for her family and friends while she was mobile, in the past few years she had to rely on others to do her shopping. She refused to use a wheel chair until it was absolutely required, she wanted to remain independent as long as she could.

Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Helen Peabody; maternal grandmother, Ruth Evans Hunter (Aubrey); grandfather, Earl Sigler and paternal grandparents Ray and Lula (Odor) Peabody.  She is survived by her special long time friend/fiancé, Daniel Sloan who moved from Ohio to Springfield, MO to be near her; her daughter, Crystal (Carter) Martin; her sister, Janet (Peabody) Burbury and husband, Bob and three grandchildren, Alexandria Martin, Ivy LaDuke and Cole Willeford all of Springfield.

Family would like to give a special “Thank you” to the nursing staff at Woodland Manor, where she spent her last years of life, for taking such good care of her. Several of the staff have known her many years and had a special bond with her as she loved being teased and joking with them; they truly made her feel special. Also, thank you to the Compassus Hospice team.
