One Building Destroyed, Several Damaged, One Fatality in Gassville Fire

Gassville, AR. – Officials in Gassville are currently investigating the scene of a fire that destroyed a building and claimed the life of one individual on the evening of Sunday, November 13th of 2022.

At roughly 7:46pm, the Gassville Fire Department was toned out to a structure fire at 531 West Main Street, where a residence attached to business Antiques and More were ablaze.

After 10 different Fire Departments working together over 5 hours of firefighting, multiple buildings had been damaged and the main structure was lost. Human remains were found in the aftermath, and have been transported by the Baxter County Coroner to the Arkansas Crime Lab for identification and cause of death.
