Three Day Enforcment Operation Results In Dozens Of Arrests

Baxter County, Arkansas – Law enforcement officers from several jurisdictions in Baxter County got together for three days to perform ‘Operation Accountability’. This operation resulted in dozens of arrests. 

On the 26th-28th of March, officers focused all of their efforts on locating individuals who broke their parole, serving outstanding arrest warrants, and making arrests for criminal offenses. Teams split up and conducted residential compliance checks on parolees and registered sex offenders, as well as conducting saturation patrols throughout Baxter County resulting in many vehicle stops. Two wanted persons were also reported to have fled which led to manhunts with K-9 tracking teams. Both suspects were apprehended.

There was a total of 74 arrests, 184 citations for traffic and misdemeanor offenses, and 203 warnings were given out in the three days. 

Charges given:

  • Broken parole and probation: 13
  • Warrants of Arrest Served: 32
  • Drug charges and other criminal arrests: 29

  • Boat: 1
  • Cell Phones: 4
  • Computers: 2
  • Hard Drive: 1
  • Cash: $3,100
  • Meth: 69.04 grams
  • Marijuana: 3+ pounds
  • Kraton: 980 grams
  • Mushrooms: 20 grams
  • Controlled substance pills: 93

The enforcement agencies that participated in Operation Accountability were Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, Mountain Home Police Department, Arkansas State Police, Arkansas Division of Community Corrections: Parole and Probation Services/ Sex Offenders Services, Cotter Police Department, Arkansas Divisions of Corrections- North Central Unit- K9 Tracking Team, Baxter County District Court- Probation Services, and United States Bureau of ATF- Local Agent.
