The Missouri Department of Conservation is conducting a prescribed burn today at White Ranch, covering roughly 1,200 acres along the main trail on County Road 8390 between Trail 5 and Trail 10. Officials say the operation is fully staffed and closely monitored by MDC personnel.
Residents in the area may notice smoke throughout the day and possibly into the next couple of days as crews continue to watch the burn site. Authorities emphasize that there is no emergency and the activity is part of routine land‑management efforts.
