Doug Armstrong, the longest-serving and winningest GM in Blues history, has signed a three-year extension, keeping him president of hockey operations through the 2028-29 season. Alexander Steen will step in as special assistant to the GM through the 2025-26 season, after which he’ll take over as the 12th GM in franchise history. Tim Taylor has been promoted to assistant GM, joining Ryan Miller. Taylor will handle player personnel, while Miller focuses on salary cap compliance and contracts.

Unless General Manager Doug Armstrong makes a trade, the St. Louis Blues will have nine picks at the 2024 NHL Draft, which will be held June 28-29 at Sphere in Las Vegas. Missouri State University announced today the addition of Jay Spoonhour to the Bears administrative team as the new assistant athletics development director. Spoonhour, the son of Missouri State coaching legend Charlie Spoonhour, will officially begin his new duties on June 24.
