Missouri State University-West Plains will officially dedicate its new Neurodiversity and Autism Center during a special ceremony from 1:30 to 3 p.m. on Thursday, April 17, 2025.
The event will bring together university officials, local leaders, and community supporters to celebrate the completion of the $10.5 million, state-of-the-art facility. The center is home to the TJ Swift House ASCEND Program, which offers specialized support for college students on the autism spectrum.
The ASCEND Program helps students navigate college life and prepare for their future careers through personalized coaching, academic support, and life skills training—all within an inclusive, empowering environment.
Thursday’s dedication marks a major milestone in MSU-WP’s commitment to expanding resources for neurodiverse students and fostering a more inclusive campus community.
