Missouri House Speaker Jonathan Patterson has announced the formation of the Future Caucus for the 103rd General Assembly, appointing State Representative Colin Wellenkamp (R–St. Charles) as chair. The bipartisan caucus is tasked with identifying and analyzing emerging issues facing the state and equipping House committees with the insight needed to craft forward-thinking legislation.

The Future Caucus will focus on understanding key developments such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, disaster mitigation, and economic resilience. Its work will serve as a bridge between new challenges and House standing, statutory, interim, and special committees.
