West Plains Public Library and West Plains McDonald’s Launches Happy McReader Program to Reward Young Readers

West Plains, MO — Beginning June 2, the West Plains McDonald’s is bringing back its popular Happy McReader program, a literacy initiative designed to encourage children to read throughout the summer.

The program is simple and rewarding: children can pick up a Happy McReader punch card at the West Plains Public Library and earn a free Happy Meal after reading just ten books. With each book read, participants mark their progress using a hole puncher on their card.
