The Royals were shutout at their home ballpark. Kansas City lost to the Detroit Tigers 1-0 in the finale of a three-game set at Kauffman Stadium. Salvador Perez had three hits, but the Royals went 1-for-4 with runners in scoring position. Starting pitcher Kris Bubic was tagged with the loss after striking out nine through seven innings of one-run ball. The Royals are fourth in the AL Central at 31-and-29. They visit the St. Louis Cardinals tomorrow night. In other news, the team is calling up top prospect Jac Caglianone from Triple-A.
