Hardy, AR. – A local resident of Hardy, AR. has passed away after a drowning incident on the Spring River yesterday, June 9th.
Interim Police Chief Michael Himschoot released an address to the public regarding the tragic event.
“At approximately 6:30 p.m., the Sharp County Dispatch received a report of a possible drowning at Buford Beach, located on the Spring River in Hardy, Arkansas. Emergency personnel from multiple agencies responded to the scene.
After an extensive search, the body of Justin Toney was recovered from the river at approximately 8:00 p.m. Mr. Toney was transported to a local emergency room, where he was pronounced deceased upon arrival.
The incident remains under investigation by local authorities. No further
information is available at this time.

this difficult time.”
