The Ozarks Small Business Incubator is gearing up for its annual EPIC event on Thursday, May 7, bringing entrepreneurs, small‑business owners, and community members together for an afternoon focused on growth beyond the region.
This year’s keynote speaker is David Newman of Newman Heritage Farm, who will share how his multi‑generational Ozarks farm built a national brand recognized by chefs and consumers across the country. Newman’s talk, “From Our Farm to Their Table,” highlights the risks, setbacks, and persistence behind expanding a rural business into larger markets.
The event also features a Shark Tank‑style pitch competition for local entrepreneurs and a Beyond the Ozarks Roundtable with Heather Mincer of Yes Honey, Anna Mayberry of H&M Ranch Store, and Andrew Bedell of The Landing.
A business mixer sponsored by Piney River Brewing Co., door prizes, and networking opportunities will close out the day.
EPIC runs from 1 to 6:30 p.m. at OzSBI. Attendance is free, but registration is required at crm.ozsbi.com/epic26.
