West Plains, MO – The Harlin Museum is set to open its latest exhibit celebrating the time-honored traditions of hunting, fishing, and trapping in the Ozarks with a special program on Saturday, July 19, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Local historian Scott McWilliams will present a featured talk on the history of hunting and fishing in the Ozarks, sharing fascinating stories, historical insights, and cultural context about these essential aspects of life in the region. McWilliams, known for his engaging storytelling and deep knowledge of local history, will lead the audience through generations of outdoor traditions that have shaped the Ozarks way of life.
The talk will be followed by an open Q&A session, allowing attendees to ask questions and share their own memories or experiences related to the subject. Afterward, guests are invited to enjoy refreshments and explore the museum’s newly installed Hunting, Fishing & Trapping Exhibit, which features a variety of artifacts, artwork, and historical displays.
The event is free and open to the public. All are welcome to attend and celebrate the opening of this unique and culturally rich exhibit.
