The results are in for the West Plains Public Library’s Teen and Adult Summer Reading Challenge, and library staff are celebrating a successful season of community engagement and reading.
A total of 29 adults participated, completing 67 challenge pages and logging 536 hours of reading. 16 teens also joined in, completing 36 challenge pages and reading an impressive 144 books.
Adult grand prize winners include:
- Mary Dougherty – Kindle Fire
- Meegan Brownley – LEGO kit
- Barbara Freeman – Book and journal kit
Teen grand prize winners are:
- Beatrice Smith – Kindle Fire
- Leah Harvey – LEGO kit
- Asa McFarland – Art kit
All adult participants can pick up a thank-you gift at the library, while all teen participants receive a free pool pass and coupons to local establishments.
The library encourages all winners and participants to stop by and claim their prizes. “Thank you for helping Color Our World this summer!” the library shared.
