Chiefs training camp update

he Chiefs are loaded with running backs. A healthy Isiah Pacheco, a newly signed Elijah Mitchell, and drafted Brashard Smith to go along with Carson Steele and Kareem Hunt. Hunt signed three weeks into the season last year, and feels he’s benefited from having a full offseason (cut). Hunt rushed for 728 yards last season and seven touchdowns, primarily used as a short-yardage back, which could be his role again.

The Chiefs drafted Joshua Simmons and signed former San Francisco 49er Jaylon Moore to replace Wanya Morris and Kingsley Suamataia at the tackle position. Center Creed Humphrey says that with two new tackles, the early part of camp is building chemistry. (cut)

Linebacker Nick Bolton signed a three-year contract extension to stay with the Chiefs. Leo Chenal says having Bolton back means everything. (cut) Another practice today, and the team will take Saturday off.
