[West Plains, MO] – The Ozarks Small Business Incubator (OzSBI) will present two skill-building workshops in August. They include Canva Labs and QuickBooks Online for Business.
OzSBI is partnering with MSU-WP Director of Workforce Development and Community Education, Trevor Cressman, to present Canva Labs. Canva is a low-cost, intuitive design tool for creating flyers, social media images, presentations, merchandise, and even websites. It is user-friendly for anyone from beginners to designers and includes thousands of templates and samples to use. In this course, attendees will learn how to create professional, on-brand visuals using Canva, as well as how to save time with templates, collaborative tools, and branding features. The second half of the class will be a guided workshop where you will use the skills you’ve learned. This workshop will be held on August 26 from 1-5 at The Board Room in Ava. This workshop is available to OzSBI members for $45, and non-members for $65.
QuickBooks Online for Business will be held on August 28th from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm facilitated by OzSBI Chief Financial Officer and QuickBooks Pro Advisor, Ila Sloan. This beginner-friendly workshop will help attendees learn how to use QuickBooks Online to track the accounting activity of their business. Topics include features and functions of QuickBooks Online; basic accounting principles; setting up and managing your company account; navigating QuickBooks Online; recording sales, expenses, and purchases; and understanding the report dashboard and how to generate reports. This workshop is available to OzSBI Members for $140 and non-members for $175. Attendees will also have the chance to purchase 6 hours of additional one-on-one QuickBooks training with Ila following the class.
