On December 11, 1964, Maxine married the love of her life, Dale Claxton. They shared 61 years together, building a life centered around their love and family. Maxine worked for many years at the H.D. Lee plant in Seymour, and after its closure, she devoted herself to being a homemaker, a role in which she found great joy and purpose. She took immense pride in caring for her husband, her two sons, Kevin and Bobby, and later her four grandchildren.

Maxine’s family was her heart. She loved traveling, attending reunions, and cherishing every opportunity to be surrounded by those she loved. Her grandchildren brought her endless joy, and she treasured every moment she spent with them.

She accepted her Lord and Savior at Lindenwood Baptist Church in 1959 at the age of 10.

Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Frona Maxvill, and her sister, Ramona Eubanks.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Dale Claxton; sons, Kevin (Sandy) Claxton and Bobby (Brandy) Claxton; her beloved grandchildren, Ashlynn Claxton (21), Brooklyn Claxton (19), Bria Claxton (17), and Bo Claxton (14); sisters, Angie (Keith) Dickson and Rita Denney; along with many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

We are forever thankful and blessed by the memories we shared with Maxine (Mom, Grandma). Her love, strength, and kindness (and orneriness) will remain with us always.
