MELBOURNE, Ark. – The Izard County Sheriff’s Office has released its monthly activity report for August 2025, outlining calls for service, arrests, and other law enforcement activity across the county.
According to the report, dispatch received a total of 435 calls for service during the month. Deputies completed 73 incident reports and responded to 18 motor vehicle accidents.
The Sheriff’s Office also reported that eight new felony cases were filed with the Izard County Circuit Clerk’s Office in August. Deputies served 61 civil papers during the same time frame.
At the Izard County Detention Center, jail staff booked 41 inmates, with the facility holding a daily average of 33 inmates.
In addition, the Sheriff’s Office Administration collected $21,652.17 in restitution for victims, along with fines and fees.
The Izard County Sheriff’s Office issues regular monthly and weekly reports to keep residents informed of law enforcement activity in the county.
