YELLVILLE, Ark. — The sounds of the wild turkey will fill the air later this month as Yellville hosts the National Turkey Calling Contest.
The event is set for Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the Legion Hut, located at 340 U.S. Highway 62 in Yellville. Registration begins at 8 a.m., with contests to follow immediately afterward.
The competition will feature both junior and adult divisions, showcasing some of the best turkey callers from across the region. Organizers encourage the public to attend, noting it will be a family-friendly day of tradition, competition, and community.
The contest is sponsored by the Mid Marion County Rotary Club, the Arkansas State Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation, and the Arkansas Game and Fish Foundation.
Admission is open to the public, and residents are invited to come out and enjoy the festivities.
