Capes, Costumes, and Community: Heroes for Hope 5K Set for Oct. 11

CAVE CITY, Ark. – Runners, walkers, and superheroes of all kinds are invited to Cave City Park, located on W South Street in Cave City, on Saturday, October 11, 2025, for the annual Heroes for Hope 5K, hosted by The CALL in Sharp and Independence Counties and the Sharp County Sheriff Foundation.

The event kicks off at 9 a.m. and promises a fun, family-friendly morning filled with costumes, community spirit, and opportunities to give back. Participants are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite hero while supporting programs that benefit local families.

Highlights include a 5K run/walk with a $30 entry fee, a free kids’ fun run immediately following the 5K, and even a “virtual runner” option for those who want to support the cause without lacing up their shoes.

Event proceeds will benefit The CALL, which recruits and supports foster families, as well as the Sharp County Sheriff Foundation’s public service missions.

Organizers say the day is about more than running. “This event is a chance for people of all ages to come together, have fun, and help save the day for families in our community,” representatives shared.
