The Liberty Eagles traveled to Cabool, Missouri on Friday night to face the 1-4 Cabool Bulldogs. This comes after a 35-6 loss last week to the Mountain Grove Panthers. Eagles dominated the Bulldogs and denied them hardly and positive yardage throughout the battle and win by a Final Score of 64-0.
1st Quarter: The Cabool Bulldogs defer the coin toss and this will give The Liberty Eagles the Football to start the game. They get several tackles and their first offensive move is a pass from Parker Tune to Jasper Melby, this puts the Eagles on the board first 6-0. Cabool tries to make some passes but turn the ball over on downs and this gives Liberty enough time to make their next move as Jaren Rutledge runs it in for six more. Liberty, as expected, keeps making deep moves on offense as two more follow. Another by Jasper Melby and then a 44-yard pass from Titus Jester to Sawyer Morris. Also a great touchdown reception by Eddie Rodriguez. Eagles hold the lead 30-0 at the end of one.
2nd Quarter: Eagles continue to dominate as Parker Tune scores three runs in a row bringing the lead to as much as 38-0 and it is topped off with a great pass move by Kyle Roberts who got a good look and caught the football and brings The Eagles to a 51-0 lead at the Half. The Cabool Bulldogs get one good handoff off to Quintin Green who had made another catch in the first half. These plays were the only positive offensive moves the Bulldogs had in the First half.
HALFTIME- Liberty Eagles: 51/ Cabool Bulldogs: 0
3rd Quarter: A very speedy Third Quarter as Jaren Rutledge makes the next move for the Eagles. Still no dice for the Cabool Bulldogs. Quarter ends with Liberty leading 57-0.
4th Quarter– Sophomore Easton Smotherman makes the last run of the night for the Liberty Eagles. This puts them on the map to win the ballgame by a Final of 64-0.
The Eagles will be back at home next Friday night for Homecoming as they face The Salem Tigers. Catch the Game with the Kickoff @ 7PM and Pregame around 6 PM on The Fox 96.9.
