Press Release from the Willow Springs Police Department:
On 11-05-2025 at approximately 0210 hours, Officer M. Templemere was dispatched to 414 N Ferguson, Willow Springs, reference a well being check on three children ages 4-10 years old. Complainant advised that her boyfriend was out of control and had assaulted her and her 18 year old son earlier in the day. He then began spanking the three children, while she was on the phone with him.
Officer Templemere and Deputy Stalba from Howell County Sheriff’s Office made contact with the male subject at the residence. The male subject refused to allow them to check on the children, however later allowed officers to check them at the front door. Based on the previous assaults, the male subject was advised that he was under arrest for Domestic Assault. He then slammed the door on officers and barricaded himself in a bedroom with the children. The male subject made several Suicidal threats, and it was unsure if he was armed.
Howell County S.W.A.T team was called, while negotiations continued with the subject. At 0546 hours the male subject released the children and surrendered to Howell County Deputies without incident. Subject was taken to Howell County Jail pending formal charges.
