On Friday night the West Plains Zizzers played host to Carl Junction who they faced just a few short weeks ago in a late rally to win.
This night was a much different story as both defenses played well in the first quarter leading to a 0-0 tie at the end of the first. The Zizzers broke the tie early in the second quarter on a pass to Hale to go up 7-0. The defense held and got the ball back and behind the running of Jackson Taylor they scored again and the two point conversion was good on a broken play and the Zizzers went up 15-0 which was the halftime score.
The third quarter saw the Zizzers receive the kickoff but the drive ended with a lost fumble. Carl Junction took advantage and drove down for their only touchdown of the night and missed the pat, Zizzers lead 15-6.
From there the Zizzers took control scoring 3 more touchdowns to win going away 36-6.
Zizzers will travel to face the winner of Hannibal and Odessa most likely Saturday.
