West Plains, MO. – The University of Missouri Extension (MU Extension) in Howell County is offering a healthy cooking class for individuals with diabetes, Dining with Diabetes.
In this class:
- Participants learn how to make meals that are healthy, easy to prepare, and tasty.
- Hands-on-cooking healthy meals and participants will have the opportunity to taste each one.
- Participants will also learn up-to-date information on nutrition, meal planning, and exercise and how to understand common diabetes-related medical tests. Recipes and a workbook will be given to each participant.
The Dining with Diabetes course meets four consecutive weeks, November 20, December 4, 11, and 18 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. The classes will be held at Howell County Extension office located at 1376 Bill Virdon Blvd. West Plains, MO. This series is $50 per participant.
