OZARK COUNTY, MO- A 16-year-old male died Friday morning while hunting in rural Ozark County. The incident occurred while coming into contact with a sagging powerline in the Brixey-Rockbridge area.
According to Ozark County Sheriff Cass Martin; The incident happened around 9 a.m. when two teens were hunting and walking along a Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative power line easement.
The victim was a volunteer firefighter with the Brixey-Rockridge Volunteer Fire Department, Martin said.
Brixey-Rockbridge First Responders found the body dead upon arrival.
Martin reminds everyone that if you see any sagging power lines, or damage to poles, to contact the Howell Oregon-coop or the White River coop.
