Registered Sex Offender Arrested on Multiple Charges

From the Marion County Sheriff:

Marion County Sheriff Gregg Alexander reports the arrest of STEVEN M. MANSON, 35
YOA, of Yellville, on several Felony charges resulting from two (2) reported incidents.
The arrest stems from an investigation into allegations that MANSON raped a minor
female victim on or about November 20, 2025, and had threatened the minor female
victim and another adult female with a firearm on 12/03/25.

On 12/04/25, The minor female victim was brought to the Marion County Sheriff’s
Office (MCSO) where she was interviewed by Investigators. Investigators then
arranged for the victim to be forensically interviewed at Grandma’s House, a Child
Advocacy Center (CAC) in Mountain Home, where she again disclosed MANSON had
raped her. MANSON is charged with one (1) count of Rape, a Class “Y” Felony, and
Sexual Assault 2nd Degree, a Class “D” Felony, with a bond set at $100,000.

It was also reported at the same time, that MANSON had threatened the minor female
victim and an adult female with a shotgun during an argument on 12/03/25. On
12/04/25, Investigators executed a search warrant at MANSON’S residence where
they located and seized the firearm he is alleged to have used to threaten the victims.
MANSON is charged with two (2) counts of Kidnapping, a Class “Y” Felony, Possession
of Firearms by Certain Persons, a Class “B” Felony, two (2) counts of Terroristic
Threatening, a Class “D” Felony, and being a Habitual Offender, with a bond set at
$250,000.

STEVEN M. MANSON is a Level II sex offender registered in Marion County. He was
previously convicted in the state of Illinois of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse, and is
a convicted felon prohibited by law from possessing a firearm.

MANSON currently remains incarcerated in the Marion County Detention Center
(MCDC) awaiting his first appearance in Marion County Circuit Court.
