A Caulfield man was taken into custody on December 23, 2025, following a disturbance on County Road 7320 in Howell County, according to a report from the Howell County Sheriff’s Office.
Sergeant Seth R. Smith responded to the call and spoke with multiple witnesses who reported that Ty Carter was under the influence of drugs and hallucinating at the time of the incident. Witnesses stated that Carter was confronted by a relative, identified as Victim 1, regarding his behavior.
According to the report, witnesses observed Carter physically push the victim before fleeing into the nearby woods. Victim 1 told deputies that Carter had been talking to people who were not present and confirmed that she wished to pursue charges.
A second witness at the scene also reported seeing Carter push the victim.
While deputies were gathering written statements, Carter reportedly emerged from the wood line and approached the residence. Sgt. Smith noted that Carter appeared to be under the influence based on his behavior and responses.
