Mark Shawn Simmerock was born on February 7, 1966, in Houston Missouri, to John Edward “Jack” and Mary Lou (Plowman) Simmerock. He passed away at his home in Eminence, Missouri on December 17, 2025.
He is survived by his children, Dalton (Allie) Simmerock, Audrey (Chandler) Garrison, and Autumn Simmerock all of Eminence, MO; brother, Jeff Simmerock of Eminence; niece, Ashley Simmerock of Eminence; nephew, Zach (Brooke, Stockton, Irie) Simmerock of Lebanon, MO; one grandogger, Opal Garrison; and “Grandbaby Garrison,” who Mark was over the moon for.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Mary Lou Simmerock; sister, Jackie Simmerock; and brothers, Dean and Gene Simmerock.
Dear Dad,
Everyone in the community knows just how much you loved your kids and dedicated your life to us. When we were small, we never once doubted who we could go to for a hug or to be loved on. When we got older and were no longer at the house all the time, we never once doubted who we should call when we needed advice or just to chat for hours on end. You were always there. We will cherish every memory we have with you both as little kids and as growing adults. It seems like we are not old enough to have lost you, but you have left us with so many memories and love that will last our lifetime, your grandkids lifetime, and many more generations to come. Rest easy knowing your kids will forever hold you and everything we learned from you in our hearts and will forever lean on each other now that you are no longer here. You have left a legacy of love not only to your three kids, but to those that we married, to your whole family, and to all those who knew you. What an example you are to look up to. We will miss you for years to come, Dad.
