From the Shannon County Sheriff’s Department:
Deputies with the Shannon County Sheriff’s Office have arrested William J. Norris in connection with a shooting/assault investigation stemming from an incident that occurred on November 10, 2025, at Birch Tree City Park.
Norris has been charged with the following felony offenses:
Armed Criminal Action (Felony)
Assault in the First Degree – Attempt to Cause Serious Physical Injury or Involving a Special Victim (Felony)
Bond has been set at $50,000.00 cash only on each charge, for a total bond of $100,000.00 cash only.
This arrest is the result of an extensive investigation into the alleged shooting at Birch Tree City Park.
Sheriff Hogan stated “I would like to extend sincere thanks to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Division of Drug and Crime Control (DDCC) for their assistance and professionalism throughout this investigation”.
“All persons arrested or charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.”
