The Indiana Hoosiers defeated the Oregon Ducks 56-22 at the College Football Playoff semifinal at the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl on Friday. 

The Hoosiers opened the scoring with an interception return for a touchdown by safety D’Angelo Ponds on the first play of the game. Indiana went on to score four more touchdowns and were leading 35-7 at halftime.

The Hoosiers were led by their Heisman winning quarterback, Fernando Mendoza who completed 85% of his passes and threw for five touchdowns. He has eight touchdowns in two college football playoff games and has only thrown five incompletions.

The Hoosiers will now face the Miami Hurricanes in the National Championship game next Monday night.
