The West Plains R-VII School District is excited to announce that Mrs. Sarah Land will assume the role of Principal for the 2026–2027 school year.
Mrs. Land currently serves as Assistant Principal and has dedicated more than 20 years to education at West Plains Elementary School. Throughout her career, she has taught at various elementary grade levels, from kindergarten through fourth grade, giving her a deep understanding of student growth, instructional needs, and the elementary learning experience. Her long standing commitment to students, staff, and the school community has played a key role in fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
Mrs. Land earned a Master of Education in Educational Administration from William Woods University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Missouri State University. Her background in educational leadership and classroom experience provides a strong foundation as she prepares to lead in her new role.
Superintendent Dr. Wesley Davis shared his support for the appointment, stating, “By developing and promoting leaders from within our district, we are investing directly in the future of our students. Mrs. Land’s experience and dedication will continue to strengthen West Plains Elementary School and positively impact our Zizzer community.”
The district looks forward to Mrs. Land’s leadership as she continues her service to West Plains students and families in the years ahead.
