A fatal accident in Carter County has claimed the life of a 39-year-old Ellsinore man on Tuesday afternoon.
The accident occurred when the Ellsinore man failed to stop at a stop sign in a 2006 Jeep Liberty striking a 2004 Chevy Colorado driven by a 67-year-old Doniphan man, causing the Ellsinore man to be ejected from the vehicle.

The accident happened in Grandin at the intersection of MO B and MO K. The Doniphan man was not injured according to the crash report.
This is Troop G’s second fatality of 2026.
