The City of Willow Springs is under an electric alert this weekend. All of southern Missouri and northern Arkansas are to set a new peak record by Monday morning due to the frigid temperatures along with a high demand on the grid, but the most alarming issue is cost expectancy.
The area is expected to hit a new peak Monday morning. We expect tight operating conditions on Sunday and Monday, with 6:00-11:00 a.m. on Monday being the most expensive hours.
What you can do?
Given the forecasted high prices, any voluntary conservation efforts will help save costs for our community.
Anything to help with electricity conservation is appreciated.
