The Liberty Eagles finished out their regular season on the road at Thayer, taking on the (12-11) Thayer Bobcats.

1st Quarter: Tip controlled by The Thayer Bobcats as Freshman Hunter Trinkler passes to Senior Hollis Deckard for a three as Bobcats get on the board first.

Liberty takes it back and  Draydon Wells fights for an easy shot and finally gets it. Liberty on 3-2. Thayer throws away the next possession which is taken back by Liberty and turned over again.

Two threes for Liberty by Parker on the next possession as Thayer throws the ball back by Parker Wells completing the first three point play at the line.

Liberty takes a 8-3 lead with 6:00 minutes to go.

Hollis Deckard and Jayden Belecher for the Bobcats are able to cut into the lead after Deckerd shoots a three. And now it’s back and forth Belcher and Wells with several threes.

Belcher ties up the game at 10-10 with 3 ½ minutes to go.

Alex Tune with an easy floater after the next three followed by one by his brother and Liberty comes back by three. Rebound and two more points for Belcher.

Parker Tune takes it back and another three. Scoop shot by Belcher on the rebound. 19-18- Liberty with the lead with 20 seconds to go. A three by Blayne Altermatt as Liberty stays Back to Parker for two more, making his tenth point.

Another three pointer by Blayne Altermatt is good at the buzzer as Liberty carries the lead, 24-18

2nd Quarter: A turnover by Liberty and a long possession for Senior, Jayden Belcher for The Liberty.

Liberty struggles to get off a shot as Dominic Boyce for the Bobcats comes in. Him with the addition of Belcher shoot two more threes.

Finally, Liberty back with the ball and Alex Tune with the next three, Liberty by two- 28-26.

Draydon Wells shoots two after a tricky putback attempt and a three by Parker Tune. He makes both.

The Liberty offense at times is lackadaisical as they are keeping the ball but not trying to shoot. This spell is broken as Alex is good.

Another tie as Freshman Kypton Horton cuts in for a bucket. Thayer begins a long stretch with offense. A three by Belcher, an easy jumper by Hunter Trinkler, and another putback by Horton.

HALFTIME- Liberty Eagles: 39/ Thayer Bobcats: 37

2nd Quarter: Liberty starts to pick up pace and attack the bucket more going into the second half as Liberty takes back the lead by as many as five. Charge led by Draydon Wells, Parker Tune, and Paxton Hunter

But we see what we saw in the last eight minutes, Jayden Belcher ties up the ballgame. All of a sudden broken back to a three point lead as Blayne Altermatt shot his third three of the match right before another putback shot by Boyce on the rebound for The Bobcats.

Eagles lead at the end of one 51-52.

3rd Quarter: Paxton Hunter and Draydon Wells continue to attack on defense barely. But another replay of what Jayden Belcher can do as he steals back the ball and suddenly, Liberty begins to tank as Thayer stalls with Belcher shooting two more threes, as The Bobcats go back up by five.

Not until 1:03 does Parker Tune score on a three pointer to tie the game back up.

Belcher for The Bobcats tries for another three pointer which misses. And another off the mark shot right at the Buzzer by Alex Tune
