Head coach Steven McRoberts announced Thursday that NJCAA All-American Vicky Antia will join the Bears for the 2026 season, bringing elite offensive firepower to Springfield.
Antia arrives from Missouri State-West Plains after a record-setting 2025 campaign that earned her second-team NJCAA All-America honors. The Candelaria, Colombia, native dominated the national stat sheet, leading the NJCAA in total kills (600) and kills per set (4.65). She also topped the nation in total points and points per set, showcasing her all-around scoring ability.
Antia produced those numbers on a .199 attack efficiency while contributing 322 digs, 36 service aces and 23 assists, proving she’s more than just a high-volume attacker.
Her breakout sophomore season followed an impressive freshman debut with the Grizzlies, when she recorded 285 kills on .230 hitting to go along with 194 digs, 30 aces and 25 blocks.
With Antia set to make the move to Springfield, Missouri State adds a proven scorer with national-level production and two years of collegiate experience to its 2026 roster.
