The Howell County Sheriff’s Office is recognizing two members of its patrol division after they completed advanced training through the Missouri Sheriff’s Association Field Training Officer Course in Henry County.
Deputy Barnes and Deputy First Class Malone attended the specialized program, which prepares experienced deputies to mentor and evaluate new recruits as they begin their careers in law enforcement. Field Training Officers play a key role in shaping probationary deputies, ensuring they receive consistent, professional instruction while learning the day‑to‑day responsibilities of patrol and community service.
Sheriff’s Office leadership says the added certification strengthens the agency’s ability to train future deputies and maintain high standards of service for Howell County residents.
The department is congratulating both deputies for their commitment to continued professional development and their dedication to guiding the next generation of law enforcement officers.
